New Vacuum Truck Scrubber

High Efficiency Vacuum Truck Scrubbers

Vapor Tech is now renting and selling vacuum truck scrubber systems which meet Texas MSS emissions laws which most chemical plants and refineries are following. These units are trailer mounted and are comprised of a 'forced-induction' vapor scrubber followed by twin 1000 pound carbon vessels. The scrubbers alone without carbon are capable of 99.9% removal of hydrocarbon vapors (initial removal efficiency). Once hydrocarbons start to accumulate in the chemical media the efficiencies will start to decline.

Vapor Tech has developed their own chemical media for hydrocarbons called Bio-Scrub X. This media has the ability to absorb organics to a high degree and is 100% biodegradable. Once spent this oil should have high BTU value and should have use as a good fuel source.

These vacuum truck scrubbing units are available for rent or purchase and are designed for flow rates up to 500 CFM. Vapor Tech will also be releasing a high volumn vapor scrubber for air mover exhaust in early 2012. This will be called the Eliminator 5500 and is capable of treating hydrocarbon vapors up to 5500 CFM.

Wet Scrubbers

Wet scrubbers have become increasingly popular these days because of their range of capabilities. Wet scrubber units, coupled with the right chemistry, can reduce or eliminate the need for carbon filters. Vapor Tech's wet scrubber units are followed by activated carbon to offer the customer the best-of-both-worlds. In most of the cases, the wet scrubber saves the customer money due to less frequent carbon change-outs. Contact Vapor Tech for more details.

Sulfur Dioxide Scrubbers

Vapor Tech, www.vapor-tech.net, manufactures wet scrubbers to control sulfur dioxide fumes. New laws in effect restrict the release of this potentially hazardous vapor. Vapor Tech has stainless steel and FRP units which can remove sulfur dioxide up to 99% or more. We offer skid-mounted systems which come equipped with automated controls such as pH and level.

For help with a sulfur dioxide application please check us out on the web at www.vapor-tech.net or call us at 409-316-0173.

1500 CFM Thermal Oxidizer for Sale

Vapor Tech has a trailer mounted 1500 CFM thermal oxidizer for sale. This unit is designed to burn hydrocarbons and has a burn efficiency of 99.9%. This unit has only been used 3 times and is 3 years old. The unit is in perfect working order. We are selling the machine because we no longer carry the insurance and workforce necessary to compete in the T-OX market.

More info on the thermal oxidizer is available on our website. The unit is located in Hitchcock, TX (77563). Demonstration of the units operation is available upon request. All manuals and literature on the unit is available as well.

For more information contact Brad Varley at (409) 316-0173.

Flame Arrestors Now Available

Beginning in early December 2008, we will begin offering flame arrestors as an option on most of our vapor scrubber and carbon box rentals. These flame arrestors will make an already safe technology even safer. In 10 years we have never had a scrubber unit catch fire or explode. However, many refineries and plants now require flame arrestors.

Contact a Vapor Tech rep for details.

Carbonil and Gas Meters

It has come to our attention that the fragrance in Carbonil actually creates a false reading with some PID and FID meters. Some customers have reported as high as 300 ppm reading right out of a fresh tote. What this means is that if you take reading after the scrubber for solution breakthrough or scrubber efficiency, your readings may not be accurate. Total gas meters sometimes create more problems since they pick up gases like methane which can't be scrubbed.
For more information about Carbonil please visit our link at http://www.vapor-tech.com/index.cfm/lev1/134/act/pd/pid/49. If this is a problem we do offer a product called Carbonil ST which does not carry a fragrance.

Vacuum Truck Scrubbers

Vapor Tech is introducing the 'CHEM-VAC HYBRID SCRUBBER SYSTEM' designed to control vapors stemming from vacuum truck operations. This trailer-mounted unit will be able to scrub practically any type of VOC or vapor imagineable due to the fact that it is able to remove many different types of vapors simultaneously. The CHEM-VAC system is a triple packed-column unit followed by activated carbon polishing. Each compartment is able use a separate chemical which will enable the user to scrub hydrocarbons and H2S at the same time. If there was some ammonia in the airstream as well the third compartment could be filled with Vapor Tech pre-concentrated media to neutralize the ammonia. On the other hand, all three reservoirs could use the same chemical media for enhanced removal.

A 1000 pound carbon vessel is located on the back of the trailer which will polish the vapors above and beyond 99%.

This system will be manufactured from stainless steel. It comes equipped with flame arrestor and pressure relief valve. The unit only requires air to operate the three diaphragm pumps.

This system will be available for rent or purchase starting in late September 2008. Contact Vapor Tech at salesandinfo@vapor-tech.net for details or visit the wesite at http://www.vapor-tech.com/ for more information.
