Carbonil and Gas Meters

It has come to our attention that the fragrance in Carbonil actually creates a false reading with some PID and FID meters. Some customers have reported as high as 300 ppm reading right out of a fresh tote. What this means is that if you take reading after the scrubber for solution breakthrough or scrubber efficiency, your readings may not be accurate. Total gas meters sometimes create more problems since they pick up gases like methane which can't be scrubbed.
For more information about Carbonil please visit our link at http://www.vapor-tech.com/index.cfm/lev1/134/act/pd/pid/49. If this is a problem we do offer a product called Carbonil ST which does not carry a fragrance.
